The investigation began on Aug. 4, 2024, when Lower Providence Township Police received a report from the mother of an 11-year-old girl, referred to as Victim #1, alleging that Ozdemir had indecently touched her daughter in 2021 or 2022, court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Thursday, Nov. 21, state.

Victim #1 disclosed during a forensic interview that Ozdemir, whom she identified as an older male, touched her vagina twice over her clothing in her bedroom while the door was closed. The abuse occurred when she was 8 or 9 years old, the affidavit of probable cause says.

Three More Victims Identified

As the investigation progressed, three additional victims came forward, detailing years of alleged abuse by Ozdemir at various locations in Montgomery County, the affidavit states.

Victim #2: Male, 16 Years Old

Victim #2, now 16, told investigators that Ozdemir sexually assaulted him in 2013 or 2014 when he was 5 or 6 years old. The abuse occurred at a residence in Pottstown, where Ozdemir, then 15 or 16, allegedly had Victim #2 sit on his lap and fondled his penis under his clothing, according to the affidavit.

Victim #3: Female, 16 Years Old

Victim #3, also 16, reported sustained abuse by Ozdemir from 2013 to 2018 at multiple locations, including Upper Merion Township, New Hanover Township, and Lower Providence Township. The affidavit describes instances where Ozdemir forced her to watch pornography, performed sexual acts on her against her will, and coerced her into performing sexual acts on him.

One particularly disturbing incident occurred during a gathering in King of Prussia when Ozdemir allegedly locked Victim #3 in a bedroom, forcibly removed her clothing, and restrained her to examine her genitalia. The abuse later escalated to digital penetration and oral sex, the affidavit states.

Victim #4: Male, 19 Years Old

Victim #4, now 19, recalled a single incident of abuse in 2014 when he was 9 years old. He told investigators that Ozdemir fondled him under his clothing and forced him to touch Ozdemir inappropriately while in a parked car at a Ross Store in Upper Providence Township, according to court documents.

Pattern of Abuse

The affidavit alleges that Ozdemir targeted children ranging in age from 5 to 13 years old over a nine-year period, using manipulation and physical dominance to control his victims. Detectives described his actions as "self-serving, nondiscriminatory, and calculated," occurring at residences, vehicles, and public locations across Montgomery County.

Ozdemir’s residence on Pinegrove Avenue, near Oak Park Elementary School, adds to concerns about his access to vulnerable individuals, authorities noted.

Ozdemir remains in Montgomery County jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Cathleen Kelly Rebar.
